Beth M. Lazar has been in active practice for the past 27 years specializing in Wills, Trusts, Estate Planning, Probate, Guardianship and Trust Administration and various aspects of Elder Law Planning. Beth handles a wide range of estate planning matters on behalf of her clients, including estate and gift tax planning, business succession and charitable planning, and issues involving premarital and post marital agreements.
Beth is a graduate of The University of Florida (1988); The Thomas M. Cooley Law School (1993); and The John Marshall Law School (1995). She holds a Masters of Law (LLM) in Taxation and is admitted to practice law in Florida, Kentucky, Illinois and before the United States Tax Court.
Her professional affiliations are with the Florida Bar; Illinois State Bar Association, Kentucky Bar Association; American Bar Association; South Dade Estate Planning Council, the Estate Planning Council of Greater Miami, and the Dade County Bar Association, Probate and Guardianship Court Committee. Beth has been recognized for her professional accomplishments in the 2012-2021 Martindale Hubbell Bar Register of Preeminent Women Lawyers, the 2010-2021 South Florida Top Legal Leaders and she was awarded the 2008 and 2010 Pro Bono Award by Put Something Back for her continuing contribution of pro bono legal services to the South Florida community.
In addition to her legal affiliations, Beth is very active in the South Florida community and serves as a member of University of Miami Planned Giving Advisory Board, the Nicklaus Children’s Hospital Foundation Ambassador Legacy Board and the Professional Advisory Committee of the Greater Miami Jewish Federation in addition to several other supporting organizations.
